Sawmill Pilous CTR 550 GX is equipped with a Honda gasoline engine with a power of 8.7 kW (11 HP), allowing it to cut largediameter logs even in areas without access to the power grid. Compared to the electric version, it features increased weight and a sturdy frame, reducing vibrations and enhancing cutting precision. It retains mobility and ease of transportation. This model is ideal for smallscale production, woodworking shops, and carpentry workshops. The control panel is mounted on the frame, ensuring easy operation and smooth material feeding.
The saw unit height is adjustable using a handle with an accurate scale, allowing quick parameter adjustments. The bimetal band saw blade offers long service life without sharpening and tooth setting. It handles inclusions in the wood, including nails and metal, while guides with carbide inserts ensure precise cutting.
In addition to the 27 x 0.9 mm blade, a 35 x 0.9 mm blade can be installed for cutting large logs. It is also possible to use a standard wooden saw similar to the models CTR 710, 800, and 950, with regular maintenance.
The frame is made of aluminum, which reduces vibrations and provides a smooth cut. The drive is operated through a Vbelt transmission, which rotates the flywheel with a toothed mechanism. The engine start and stop are controlled by a lever clutch.
The modular design simplifies component replacement and reduces maintenance costs. The maximum log diameter is 550 mm, and the cutting length is 3.6 m. The weight is 310 kg, providing stability during operation.
